Franziska Köder is a Researcher and Lab Manager at the University of Oslo's Centre for Multilingualism in Society and Science (MultiLing). She holds a PhD from the University of Groningen and an MA in German Language & Literature and Philosophy from the University of Heidelberg. Her work focuses on experimental pragmatics, semantics, and language acquisition, particularly investigating how attention and multilingualism influence pragmatic development in children and adults with ADHD. She leads the AttCom project exploring ADHD and multilingualism's impact on pragmatic skills, and co-leads the PolkaNorski project studying Polish-Norwegian multilingualism. She manages MultiLing’s Socio-Cognitive Laboratory and co-founded the interdisciplinary EyeHub network for eye-tracking research. Key research methods include eye-tracking, behavioral tasks, and questionnaires to study figurative speech, pronoun processing, and pragmatic development. Her recent work bridges clinical linguistics and cognitive science, addressing how neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD interact with multilingualism and communication. Projects emphasize translational research with practical implications for language education and clinical practice.
