Dr Victoria McQuillan is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Salford's School of Health & Society and member of the Centre for Applied Health Research. As a qualified occupational therapist with extensive NHS experience, she specializes in developmental pediatrics and researches child development, particularly focusing on developmental coordination disorder (DCD) and related neurodevelopmental conditions. Her educational background includes: Dip COT (Graduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy) PG Cert T&L HE (Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education) M.Ed in Educational Psychology from University of Manchester PhD from University of Leeds researching children with developmental coordination disorder Dr McQuillan's research focuses on understanding typical and atypical child development, with particular expertise in motor development, neurodevelopmental disorders, and sensory processing. Her recent publications (2021-2025) demonstrate a consistent focus on DCD, physical activity participation, and translating research into clinical practice through guideline development.
