Evelyne Selberherr is Assistant Professor specializing in microbiome research at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. Her work applies 'One Health' principles to food systems, investigating microbial flows from farm-to-fork using metagenomics and bioinformatics. Projects include MASTER (microbiome product development) and MICRO-TRAMPER (student-led sequencing in food production). Research examines microbial interactions in dairy/meat processing, antimicrobial resistance, and rumen ecology. She teaches microbial ecology and bioinformatics while recruiting PhD candidates with microbiology backgrounds.
