Danielle Poole is an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale School of Public Health and Director of Research at the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab . She serves as an Affiliated Faculty member at the Yale Institute for Global Health and contributes to the Department of Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases . Her work spans population health, violence prevention, and geospatial analysis of conflict-related health impacts. Education: ScD in Population Health, Harvard Chan School of Public Health MPH, Brown University BA, Seattle University Poole specializes in humanitarian needs assessments , firearm injury prevention , and epidemiological methods . Her recent research includes: Quantifying medical facility damage in Ukraine and Gaza Exploring HIV prevention disruptions during conflicts Developing depression screening tools for refugees Advocating for firearm-injury prevention research funding Scientific Awards: Genocide and Atrocity Prevention Research Fellow, Simon-Skjodt Center Neukom Institute for Computational Science Postdoctoral Fellow Advising and Grants: Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams including Nathaniel Raymond, Kaveh Khoshnood, and Frederick Altice.
