Piotr Garbacz is an Associate Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Nordic Studies (ILN), University of Oslo , since 2017. He previously served as Head of Department at ILN (2017-2020) and at the Department of Linguistics, University of Southeast Norway (2014-2016). His academic career includes postdoctoral and associate professor roles at UiO (2010-2014).
