Sophie Vassilaki is a University Professor at Inalco (Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales) and a researcher at the SeDyL (Structure et dynamique des langues) laboratory. Her academic journey includes a doctorate from Paris 7-Diderot University under Pr Antoine Culioli and HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) in 2005. She serves as director of UMR 8202 SeDyL since 2010. Research Focus : Aspecto-temporal systems in Modern Greek, discourse markers, complex sentence syntax, derivational morphology, and diachronic comparisons between Ancient and Modern Greek.
