Dr. Sharon Anoush Chekijian is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, where she holds multiple leadership roles including Medical Director of Patient Experience and Medical Director of the PA/NP Post-graduate Training Program. Her research focuses on global emergency care systems, particularly in low- and middle-income countries like Armenia, Uganda, and Iraq, with a focus on injury prevention, stroke/cardiac care, and emergency medicine education. She has consulted for the World Bank and U.S. Department of State, and received a Fulbright Scholar award (2019) for her work in Armenian healthcare system development.
