Rebecca Bennett is the Chair and Professor of Management in the College of Business at the University of Central Florida (UCF). Her research focuses on the 'dark side' of organizational behavior, particularly employee deviance and its intersection with cybersecurity insider threats. She has published extensively on workplace deviance, high performance work practices, and security policy effectiveness, with over 10,000 citations in her seminal work. Dr. Bennett holds a B.S. in Psychology (cum laude) from Washington University in St. Louis and M.S./Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University's Kellogg School. She previously served as faculty at the University of Toledo and Louisiana Tech University, holding roles like Department Chair and Associate Dean. She has been a visiting scholar at institutions worldwide, including National University of Singapore and University of Queensland. Her research interests span cybersecurity human factors, abusive supervision dynamics, and the psychological underpinnings of organizational deviance. She serves on editorial boards and has edited a book on high performance supervision. Recent work emphasizes organizational responses to insider threats through security education and policy design.
