吴斌珍 is a Tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2001-2006) and has been affiliated with Tsinghua since 2007, advancing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor by 2012, and to Tenured Associate Professor by 2017. She serves as Deputy Director of the Institute of China Fiscal and Taxation and the Department of Economics at Tsinghua. PhD in Economics, University of Wisconsin-Madison Master in Economics, Peking University's China Center for Economic Research Bachelor in Nuclear and Thermal Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University Her research focuses on Public Economics, Educational Economics, and Applied Microeconomics. Key themes include taxation, fiscal policy, education economics, and labor market dynamics. Her work often examines policy impacts in China's context, such as tax reforms, social insurance, and education systems. Her recent publications cover topics like tax-based credit mechanisms for small businesses, fiscal decentralization effects on local governments, and high-speed rail's economic impact. She has secured multiple national grants, including National Natural Science Foundation projects and government policy studies.
