Suzanne Anderson is a Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Colorado and a member of INSTAAR (Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research). Her research focuses on geomorphological processes shaping Earth's surface, with emphasis on weathering, hydrology, and critical zone science. She has led interdisciplinary initiatives like the Boulder Creek Critical Zone Observatory and co-authored the textbook Geomorphology: The Mechanics and Chemistry of Landscapes and children's book The Living Landscape: Discovering the Critical Zone . Current research focuses on alpine hydrology with ice-bearing landscapes and Arctic riverine carbon budgets, continuing collaborations through the Cryosphere and Surface Processes Lab, CAGE facility, and CSDMS modeling system.
