Emir Poskovic serves as a Fixed-term Assistant Professor at the Department of Energy (DENERG) within the School of Engineering at Polytechnic University of Turin. He is also a Key Researcher for the Magnetic Characterization Laboratory at the Alessandria campus and a member of the Interdepartmental Center IAM@PoliTo - Integrated Additive Manufacturing. His academic appointments include invited membership in both the College of Electrical and Energy Engineering and the College of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Automotive Engineering. Dr. Poskovic's research focuses on electrical machines, magnetic materials, and renewable energy systems. His primary areas include soft and hard magnetic materials, electrical machine design and simulation, nondestructive testing, and alternative energy applications including micro-hydro, fuel cells, and photovoltaics. His work bridges fundamental material science with practical engineering applications, particularly in the development of advanced electromagnetic systems. His recent publications demonstrate strong trends in soft magnetic composites, axial flux motor design, additive manufacturing applications for electromagnetic components, and sustainable magnet recycling techniques. The research consistently addresses both fundamental material properties and practical engineering implementations, with particular emphasis on manufacturing processes and performance optimization. Scientific Awards: Two Best Paper Awards As an active researcher, Dr. Poskovic serves as a reviewer for numerous international journals and conferences. His ERC sector classifications include electrical energy production, power components, alternative materials engineering, composites engineering, metals engineering, and simulation modeling. He is also aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to economic growth, industry innovation, responsible consumption, and climate action. Dr. Poskovic leads research within the PEEMD Research Group at DENERG, focusing on magnetic characterization and advanced manufacturing techniques for electromagnetic applications. His work with the Magnetic Characterization Laboratory supports both academic research and industrial partnerships in the development of next-generation electromagnetic systems.
