His pedagogy emphasizes inquiry-based learning, linking social issues to classroom practice to foster student agency and creativity. Recent work explores eco-horror allegories, dark posthumanism, and the post-anthropocene, with publications addressing topics like Unearthly Warnings (2024) and Anti-Currere (2025). His courses integrate hands-on art-making and critical theory to develop teachers who prioritize student-driven inquiry over rote learning. Wallin’s interdisciplinary approach bridges philosophy, media, and education, advocating for transformative pedagogical practices aligned with contemporary societal challenges.
