She has secured significant research funding for projects examining digital environments, organizational innovation, and psychosocial interventions in crisis situations, with particular emphasis on migration and displacement contexts. Professor Talamo co-founded the network CODESIGN for connecting professionals and academics in Interaction Design practice and Social Innovation (2011) and has been a member of the European Network of Living Labs ENOLL. Her interdisciplinary approach connects academic research with industry applications through the Jointlab IDEaCT (Interaction Design and Communication Technologies) which focuses on industry-academic collaboration in human-computer interaction and organizational design.
