Assoc. Prof. Peter Schartner is an Associate Professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt. He also serves as the Data Protection Officer, overseeing institutional compliance with data privacy regulations. His research focuses on cybersecurity, cryptography, and secure communication systems, with particular emphasis on automotive cybersecurity, quantum-resistant protocols, and secure exam environments. His work spans hardware security for embedded systems, privacy-preserving healthcare technologies, and IoT community-based security models.
