Jessica Pawson is a Doctoral Clinical Academic Fellow and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at the Centre for Bone and Joint Health within Queen Mary University of London's Blizard Institute, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. With over 10 years of clinical experience in east London, she specializes in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic injuries while coordinating clinical research trials including patient recruitment and study management. Her research centers on advancing health equity through co-designed, culturally tailored physiotherapy interventions for underserved populations. She investigates systemic barriers to healthcare access and develops community-driven solutions to enhance service effectiveness, bridging clinical practice with health services research to serve marginalized communities. Jessica holds the following scientific award: HARP programme Doctoral Fellowship (Health Advances in Underrepresented Populations and Diseases) Funded by the HARP fellowship, her current project "Enhancing Equity: a co-designed culturally tailored physiotherapy intervention" focuses on developing equitable healthcare models. She has no formal advisees at present but contributes to research coordination within her clinical domain. As an active member of the Centre for Bone and Joint Health, Jessica participates in multidisciplinary initiatives advancing musculoskeletal research and clinical innovation through community-centered approaches.
