Mauricio Papa serves as the Brock Professor within the Tandy School of Computer Science and Cyber Studies at The University of Tulsa's College of Engineering & Natural Sciences. Dr. Papa's educational background includes: Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Tulsa (2001) M.S. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Tulsa (1996) B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela (1992) His research focuses on securing industrial control systems across critical infrastructure sectors, particularly in energy and transportation. Papa's work integrates network security principles with operational technology requirements, developing specialized intrusion detection systems, protocol analysis frameworks, and predictive analytics for industrial environments. His methodology emphasizes practical implementation in real-world OT settings where traditional IT security approaches often fail due to legacy system constraints and safety requirements.
