Ali Shourideh is an Associate Professor of Economics at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business since 2020, previously serving as Assistant Professor at CMU (2016-2020) and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School (2011-2016). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota (2012), an MA from the University of British Columbia (2005), and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (2004). Recent publications analyze market liquidity under dual frictions, optimal trade policy with dynamic imbalances, and reputational effects in loan markets.
