M. Ishaque Khan is a Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Materials Chemistry Program at Illinois Institute of Technology's Lewis College of Science and Letters. His work bridges materials design, catalysis, and sustainable chemistry. Ph.D., Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur M.S., Aligarh Muslim University His research focuses on creating functional materials like polyoxometalates (POMs), metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), and nanocomposites for catalysis, sensing, gas separation, energy storage, and biomedical applications. He emphasizes sustainable synthesis and atomic-level control of material architecture. Recent publications highlight advances in POM@MOF hybrids, organo-functionalized clusters, and NOx sensor development. Collaborations span Argonne National Laboratory, Northwestern University, and industry partners.
