Strecker’s research integrates interdisciplinary frameworks, such as cultural anthropology and ritual theory, to analyze early Christian practices and theological concepts. Strecker’s publications include monographs like The Liminal Theology of Paul (1999) and Performative Worlds (2002), as well as numerous essays on topics such as ritual studies, Pauline soteriology, and the cultural contexts of early Christian rituals. He has edited journals like Zeitschrift für Neutestamentliche Wissenschaft and contributed to major series like ReligionsKulturen . His work bridges biblical scholarship with contemporary theological debates, addressing issues like honor/shame dynamics, the body in early Christian thought, and the intersection of Pauline theology with imperial politics. Strecker’s research also explores methodological innovations, including performance studies and cultural turns in New Testament interpretation.
