Dr. Brandon D. Smith serves as Chair of the Herschel H. Hobbs School of Theology and Ministry and Associate Professor of Theology and Early Christianity at Oklahoma Baptist University. He also holds the Dickinson Chair of Religion and directs the Graduate Theology and Ministry Programs. His research focuses on Trinitarian theology, biblical interpretation, and patristic thought.
Smith earned a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University, an M.A. in Theological and Biblical Studies from Criswell College, and a Ph.D. in Theology from Ridley College (Melbourne). He has authored/co-authored multiple books including The Biblical Trinity and Taught by God.
He previously served at Cedarville University and held pastoral roles. He co-founded the Center for Baptist Renewal and hosts the Church Grammar podcast. His work bridges ancient theological methods with contemporary church practice.
