Prof. Tomasz Bączek is a Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Medical University of Gdańsk since 2009. He previously served as Vice-Dean (2008–2012) and Vice-Rector for Science (2012–2020). He holds a PhD (2001) and habilitation (2007) from the Medical University of Gdańsk, becoming a full professor in 2014. His research focuses on pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis, medicinal chemistry, and proteomics, with over 200 publications (h-index 27).
