معرفی
Hal Bradbury is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences at the University of British Columbia. His research focuses on marine sedimentary environments, combining isotope geochemistry and numerical modeling to study early diagenesis and biogeochemical processes. He holds a PhD in Biogeochemistry from the University of Cambridge and previously served as a NERC Independent Research Fellow there.
Education:
- MSci in Geology, Imperial College London (2009–2013)
- PhD in Biogeochemistry, University of Cambridge (2013–2017)
Research Interests: Bradbury investigates processes such as organic matter oxidation in marine sediments and their impact on carbon mineralization. His work employs stable isotope measurements (e.g., calcium, strontium, carbon) to track diagenetic changes. Current projects include studying methane emissions linked to glacial retreat and reconstructing historical climate patterns using speleothems.
Grants & Labs: Collaborates on interdisciplinary projects, including carbon cycle modeling and ocean alkalinity enhancement. His lab emphasizes fieldwork and reactive transport modeling, with funding support for graduate and postdoctoral researchers.
