Henri LE PRIEULT is a Professor at the University of Toulouse, affiliated with the Center for Anglophone Studies (CAS) and the Department of English-Speaking World Studies. His academic work spans English linguistics, enunciative linguistics, the history of ideas, and the didactics of English. He has held significant editorial and research leadership roles, including serving as the editorial director of the journal Anglophonia and leading interdisciplinary research seminars. He has made significant contributions to the understanding of linguistic accommodation, argumentation, and the digital representation of grammar. His interdisciplinary approach bridges linguistics, history, and pedagogy. The most recent publications reflect a sustained engagement with core themes: the evolution of grammatical thought, pragmatic and discourse-level phenomena, and the social practices of English. His work frequently appears in special issues of Anglophonia , often as editor or co-editor, covering topics such as voice quality, e-grammars, and interdisciplinary argumentation.
