Dr. Vasanth Kumar Kannuchamy is a Lecturer in Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Surrey's School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering since 2022. Previously, he held a four-year Lecturer position at the University of Limerick's Department of Chemical Sciences. His research focuses on gas storage, carbon materials, crystallisation science, and continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing, supported by prestigious fellowships including Marie Curie and Juan de la Cierva awards. Education: PhD in Environmental Technology (Anna University, India) and PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering (University of Porto, Portugal). He has authored over 80 high-impact articles (>9,000 citations, h-index 37) and led projects like CRYSTASSEMB and MATSIMBOX, funded by EU, Enterprise Ireland, and industry partners. His work emphasizes Process Analytical Technology (PAT), non-classical crystallisation, and green carbon applications. Awards include the Elsevier Gold Plated Pen Award for most cited article and multiple fellowships. Research interests span adsorption isotherms, nanoporous materials, and wastewater treatment. His contributions bridge fundamental science and industrial applications in chemical engineering.
