Russell Spears is a Full Professor in Social Psychology at the University of Groningen, Netherlands. His primary affiliation is the Department of Social Psychology within the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences. He holds an Endowed Chair position and has held professorial roles at Cardiff University, the University of Amsterdam, and other institutions. His research focuses on social identity processes, intergroup relations, and system justification theory. Education: BSc (Hons) from the University of Bristol (1978-1981), PhD from the University of Exeter (1981-1985).
