Dr. Chris Patti is an Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Appalachian State University, affiliated with the Center for Judaic, Holocaust, and Peace Studies. His work bridges communication theory with compassionate practices, focusing on trauma-informed dialogue and Holocaust survivor narratives. He teaches courses such as Intercultural Communication, Communication Ethics, and Communicating Science. Patti earned his Ph.D. from the University of South Florida, alongside MA and BA degrees from California State University, Long Beach.
