Petros Voulgaris is the Victor LaMar Lockhart Professor and Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), where he also directs the Founding Aerospace Program. He is affiliated with the College of Engineering and leads the Learning Autonomy and Control Systems Laboratory. His work focuses on advanced control methodologies for engineering systems, including autonomous vehicles, cyber-physical systems, and resilient networks. Research Interests: Optimal, robust, and distributed control; networked control systems; autonomous systems cybersecurity; and applications in aerospace, robotics, and power systems. His lab explores cutting-edge solutions for challenges like adversarial attacks on autonomous systems and GPS-denied navigation.
