Daniel Davi-Arderius is an Associate Researcher at the Institut d’Economia de Barcelona (IEB) and an Affiliate Researcher at the Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure (CSEI). With 25 years of experience in the electricity sector, he has held multiple roles in network development, operation, and maintenance at a major Spanish distribution utility. His work focuses on European energy regulation, grid modernization, and demand-side flexibility. Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics (2010, with honors), PhD in Economics (2020). Research interests span energy economics, power systems, and smart grid technologies, particularly in the context of European network codes and cross-border energy collaboration. He contributes to EU initiatives like the Development Team for the new Network Code on Demand Response (with ENTSO-E) and H2020 projects (Smartnet, Coordinet). ACER recognized his expertise by selecting him for its demand-side flexibility expert group. He regularly publishes academic papers, lectures internationally, and reviews energy economics submissions for top journals.
