Mark J. Browne is a Professor and Chair of the School of Risk Management at the Peter J. Tobin College of Business, St. John’s University. He holds the Robert Clements Distinguished Chair and is an Associate Member of the Munich Risk and Insurance Center. Previously, he held the Gerald D. Stephens CPCU Chair at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His expertise spans risk management, insurance, and employee benefits, with a focus on regulatory policy, cyber risk, and health care reform. He has advised businesses and testified before the U.S. Senate on flood insurance post-Hurricane Katrina. Education: PhD, MA, and BS in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
