Marianne Løkke Jakobsen is a Research Fellow at the Department of Culture and Learning within Aalborg University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences . She also serves as Director of Global Engagement for Global Engagement Management, focusing on international collaborations and education policy. Education: Masters in Musicology and French (1998), University of Århus Diploma in Management and Counseling (2009), University College Copenhagen Her research spans music pedagogy , cross-cultural ethnography , and online learning design , particularly examining synchronous instrumental teaching in international contexts. Recent work includes studies on EU-China higher education partnerships and digital music education frameworks. Key trends in her publications highlight Nordic pedagogical models , cross-cultural methodology , and knowledge diplomacy in globalized education. She leads the INTERACTIONS AND LEARNING EXPERIENCES IN THE CROSS-CULTURAL SYNCHRONOUS INSTRUMENTAL TEACHING CONTEXTS project (2021-2026) as principal investigator. She is affiliated with research centers including the L-ILD (IT and Learning Design) and ILD-Lab , specializing in digital learning environments and video-based research. Her professional activities include membership in the Council of State Education , Erasmus development group , and Denmark-China collaboration initiatives .
