Dr Kuang-Hsu Chiang is a Lecturer in Higher Education at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on higher education policies, university-industry partnerships, doctoral education, and intercultural dimensions of knowledge. She holds a PhD from the Institute of Education, University of London, and has extensive experience in comparative education studies across Europe and Asia. Her work emphasizes the concept of Fluid Education, exploring non-linear and serendipitous aspects of learning. She has published widely on research-training dynamics, the Humboldtian educational tradition, and the evolving relationship between research and teaching in higher education systems. Dr Chiang is an open supervisor for PhD students interested in topics related to education policy, interculturality, and fluid knowledge systems. Key research interests include European higher education reforms, trust dynamics in academia, and the impact of industry collaborations on doctoral programs. She has presented at international conferences such as the SRHE Annual Conference and the Nordic Summer University, advocating for pedagogical approaches that integrate fluidity and dialectical thinking.
