Yuliya Kotelnikova, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the School and Clinical Child Psychology Program at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Psychology. Her work focuses on personality development, developmental psychopathology, and assessment methodologies. She leads the SAMPL Lab , investigating assessment methods and psychopathology across the lifespan. Education: Ph.D. & M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology, University of Western Ontario B.Sc. Psychology Research Specialist, University of Toronto Postdoctoral training at University of Notre Dame (USA) and pre-doctoral internship at IWK Health Center (Canada) Research Interests: Kotelnikova explores multi-informant/multi-method assessment in child temperament and psychopathology. Key topics include: Temperament-emotionality links to internalizing disorders HiTOP Consortium contributions for psychopathology taxonomy Structural/methodological issues in personality/temperament assessment Her recent work focuses on shortening personality measures (e.g., SNAP-BSRF) and developing lifespan temperament/personality batteries. Teaching: Courses include Developmental Psychopathology (EDPY 640) and School/Clinical-Based Intervention (EDPY 527), emphasizing research methods, assessment, and clinical applications.
