Dr. Tadeusz Miruszewski serves as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Nanotechnology and Materials Engineering within the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics at Gdańsk University of Technology. His research focuses on advanced ceramic materials for energy applications, with particular emphasis on electrical, thermoelectric, and protonic properties of complex oxide systems. His primary research interests include: Perovskite-based materials and derivatives Triple and mixed conducting oxides High entropy oxides for energy conversion Proton conduction mechanisms in ceramic electrolytes Thermoelectric properties of multicomponent systems Electrochemical characterization methodologies Dr. Miruszewski's recent publications reveal a strong research trajectory in thermoelectric and electrical properties of novel multicomponent oxide systems, particularly those based on barium cerate-zirconate frameworks. His work frequently involves development of specialized electrochemical measurement techniques, including modifications of the Hebb-Wagner polarization method. His research has significant implications for solid oxide fuel cells, electrolyzers, and other electrochemical energy conversion devices, with applications spanning from protonic conductors to thermoelectric energy harvesting. He currently manages several significant research projects: ONTHERM: Optimization of novel thermoelectric materials based on Mg-Ag-Sb-Cu-Bi high-entropy alloys (2025-07-29) POPCECT: Positrode Optimization for Protonic Ceramic Electrochemical Cells Technology (2022-06-14) Thermoelectrical properties of perovskite-structure high entropy oxides (2021-09-16) Dr. Miruszewski actively supervises student research projects and teaches numerous courses across materials physics, nanotechnology, and electroceramics at multiple academic levels at Gdańsk University of Technology, demonstrating strong commitment to academic mentoring and education in advanced materials science.
