Jon Viklund is a Senior Lecturer in Rhetoric and an Associate Professor in Literary Studies at Uppsala University's Department of Literary Studies and Rhetoric. He currently serves as Head of the Department of Literary Studies, overseeing academic operations while maintaining an active research profile. His work bridges literary studies and rhetoric with a focus on Swedish and Nordic contexts. Dr. Viklund's research interests encompass political rhetoric, history of rhetoric, romantic literature, edition philology, genetic criticism, and studies of major Swedish literary figures including Gunnar Ekelöf, August Strindberg, and CJL Almqvist.
