Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçen Yaşayan is affiliated with the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yeditepe University since 2022. Previously, she served at Marmara University from 2009 to 2021, advancing from Research Assistant to Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology . PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology (2010-2013), University of Nottingham MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Marmara University BSc in Pharmacy, Ege University (1997-2002) Her research focuses on nanomaterials for drug delivery , biomaterials , and wound healing applications . She has contributed to hydrogels , nanotextured films , and upconversion nanoparticles for therapeutic use. Recent publications highlight trends in skin tissue regeneration (2024), antibacterial wound dressings (2023), and chronic wound healing (2022). She explores nanocomposite films , organ-on-chip models , and mucoadhesive patches . TÜBİTAK Türkiye Adresli Uluslararası Bilimsel Yayınları Teşviki (UBYT) Andrew Hendry Postgraduate Scholarship, University of Nottingham Endowed Postgraduate Awards, University of Nottingham (2012-2013) She has supervised projects on injectable surgical adhesives (TÜBİTAK 1001, 2022-present), cost-effective hemostatic tissue adhesives (TÜSEB, 2022-present), and drug-releasing collagen/chitosan scaffolds (TUBITAK 1001, 2018-2022). Labs/teams include collaborations with Marmara University , University of Nottingham , and international conferences like EUFEPS and BioNanoMed . Her work bridges pharmaceutical technology and biomedical materials .
