Dr. Rose M. Perez is an Associate Professor at Fordham University's Graduate School of Social Service. She holds a BA from Boston University, MBA from University of Michigan, and MA/PhD from University of Chicago. Her interdisciplinary background integrates clinical social work with organizational leadership experience from corporate sectors. Her research examines immigration trauma , acculturative stress , and family dynamics in Hispanic communities. Key focus areas include: Ambiguous loss theory applied to displaced populations Cross-cultural methodological development Psychosocial impacts of linguistic acculturation Intergenerational coping strategies in immigrant families Publications consistently explore Cuban-American exile experiences through mixed-methods approaches, culminating in the PALH assessment tool.
