Professor Robert Macredie is a Professor of Interactive Systems at Brunel University London, where he is based in the Department of Computer Science within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences. He serves as Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Department of Computer Science and has previously held significant leadership roles including Head of School, Dean of Faculty, and Pro-Vice-Chancellor. With over 20 years of research experience, Professor Macredie has collaborated with a diverse range of organizations from large corporations to government agencies. His academic credentials include a BSc in Physics and Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Science. Professor Macredie's research spans the fields of Human-Computer Interaction and Information Systems, exploring how people and organizations use technology. His work aims to improve understanding of human-technology interactions in organizational and social contexts. Key research themes include individual differences in system design and use, requirements for interactive systems for information access, and interdisciplinary research addressing organizational technology use and impact.
