Mariassunta Giannetti holds the prestigious Katarina Martinson Chair as Professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics, while maintaining active research affiliations with the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). Her academic journey began at Bocconi University in Italy where she completed both her B.A. and M.Sc., followed by a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
