Selena Baset serves as a Lecturer at the Institute of Information Management, Faculty of Economics, University of Neuchâtel. Located at Rue A.-L. Breguet 2, Room 139, Neuchâtel, Switzerland, she contributes to the academic community through teaching and research in information management.
Her research program is dedicated to advancing the field of information systems through four core areas:
- Knowledge representation: Developing methods to structure and encode knowledge for machine processing and human understanding.
- Ontologies: Creating formal, explicit specifications of shared conceptualizations to enable interoperability and knowledge sharing.
- Data modeling: Designing abstract models that define the organization, manipulation, and integrity constraints of data.
- Data architecture: Establishing the blueprint for data management systems, including data sources, data flow, and integration.
