Julie Trottier is a Research Director at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), affiliated with PRODIG (Research Center for the Organization and Dissemination of Geographic Information) based at Campus Condorcet in Aubervilliers. Her research examines the intersection of water governance, land tenure, and political power, with geographic focus on Palestine, Israel, and arid regions. She directs major international projects including WaterCov (COVID-19 impacts), Palestinian Water Paracommunities (AFD-funded), and transboundary water initiatives. Her research interests span: Political ecology of water and land resources Hydropolitics in conflict zones Transboundary water governance Resource tenure systems Environmental change adaptation Development project impacts Her publications demonstrate evolving focus from foundational work on Israeli-Palestinian water conflicts to contemporary studies on pandemic geography and climate governance. Recent articles analyze COVID-19 spatial patterns, water-based peacebuilding frameworks, and agricultural transformations under occupation.
