Dr. Md Mahmudur Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville (2021) and has postdoctoral experience at Argonne National Laboratory (2022–2023) and the University of Delaware (2021–2022). His research focuses on colloidal self-assembly, hydrogel fabrication, fluid dynamics, and thermo-fluid analysis, with notable contributions to drop coalescence and active colloids. His work has been published in journals like Journal of Colloid and Interface Science and Physics of Fluids . Dr. Rahman’s academic journey includes a Visiting Assistant Professor role at the University of Texas Permian Basin (2024) and teaching at Southeast University, Bangladesh (2007–2012). His research interests span interdisciplinary areas such as microfluidics, biomaterials, and energy systems. He has received the ASGSR International Space Station U.S. National Lab Best Poster Award and was nominated for the Best Robotics Paper Award at MARSS. His recent publications explore topics like elastohydrodynamic seal design for supercritical CO₂ systems, microrobot membrane penetration, and cyclic force-driven colloidal assembly. These studies emphasize innovative methodologies in fluid dynamics and materials science, with applications in energy, robotics, and biomedical engineering.
