Dr. Brooke Bullard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Science at Mercer University's College of Professional Advancement. She holds a PhD in Biomedical Science from the University of South Carolina (2025) and a BS in Exercise Science from Belmont University (2018). Her research integrates immunology, microbiome science, and metabolic physiology, with emphasis on: Macrophage roles in cancer/colitis Gut-microbe interactions Cancer cachexia mechanisms Non-pharmacological interventions (diet/exercise) Recent publications (2022-2025) in journals like American Journal of Physiology and Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle reveal a focus on murine models, chemotherapy toxicity, and natural compounds.
