Carmen Acatrinei serves as Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Marketing, Bucharest University of Economic Studies. With over 15 years of academic experience since joining in 2008, she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Direct Marketing, Online Advertising, Social Media Marketing, and Customer Relationship Management in both Romanian and English. Her work bridges theoretical marketing frameworks with practical digital applications, emphasizing consumer behavior analysis in online environments and the ethical implications of data usage. She investigates how emerging technologies transform traditional marketing paradigms while maintaining consumer-centric approaches. Her publication portfolio demonstrates consistent thematic focus across digital marketing domains, with recent works examining energy consumption paradoxes in digital societies, gamification mechanics in affiliate programs, and privacy literacy measurement frameworks.
