Jasna Guzijan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (University of Banja Luka), specializing in the History and Theory of Architecture and Urban Development. She leads research on cultural heritage preservation, urban regeneration, and adaptive reuse of historical buildings. Her work bridges architectural history, urban planning, and sustainable development, with a focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s heritage sites. Her research interests include: Urban and architectural renewal in post-conflict cities Cultural heritage as a driver for tourism and identity Heritage conservation through digital technologies Historical buildings' adaptive reuse Sustainable urban development strategies Notable projects include: - Lead investigator for Documentation of Architectural Heritage at Archaeological Sites , funded by the BiH Ministry of Civil Affairs (2024-2025) - Author of studies on Banja Luka’s Austro-Hungarian military architecture - Co-developed urban plans for Trebinje’s Krš District and Medna village revitalization Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, combining historical analysis with contemporary urban challenges. She actively contributes to international conferences on heritage conservation and urban theory, collaborating with institutions like the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and the Technical Institute of Bijeljina.
