Dr. Abul Arafat is a Lecturer in Materials Science at the School of Engineering, University of Wolverhampton. He holds a PhD in Materials Engineering and Materials Design (2021) from the University of Nottingham, UK, and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Science & Engineering Tutor at Friedrich Schiller University Jena and The University of Nottingham International College. He has contributed to advancements in sustainable engineering through waste upcycling and green manufacturing techniques, particularly in biomedical and environmental applications. Abul’s 15 most recent publications highlight his work in additive manufacturing, biomedical glasses, and sustainable materials. Key themes include metal additive manufacturing for implants, yttrium-doped glasses for radiotherapy, and porous materials for wastewater treatment, reflecting his interdisciplinary approach between biomedical and environmental engineering.
