Florian Shkurti is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), affiliated with the UofT Robotics Institute, Vector Institute, and Acceleration Consortium. His research focuses on robotics, machine learning, and computer vision, emphasizing safe and effective autonomous systems in dynamic environments. He directs the Robot Vision and Learning (RVL) lab, exploring areas like environmental monitoring, autonomous navigation, and mobile manipulation.
