Dr. Zhengyang (Philip) Wang is a Research Scientist at the New York State Center for Clean Water Technology (NYS CCWT) affiliated with Stony Brook University. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Missouri (2018) and completed postdoctoral training in Environmental Chemistry at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station (2024). His research focuses on physico-chemical water treatment technologies, including sorption, coagulation, and membrane filtration, targeting contaminants like PFAS, chlorinated VOCs, dissolved organic matter (DOM), phosphate, and arsenic. He is particularly interested in DOM structure and its interactions with other substances. At NYS CCWT, he develops innovative solutions for water quality challenges in Long Island and beyond.
