Munish Puri is an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine and Public Health , Flinders University. He is a leader in Industrial Biotechnology with expertise in Microbial Manufacturing and Precision Fermentation , applying these to sustainability, food security, and human health challenges. Ph.D. in Biotechnology from India Postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford, UK His research spans four major programs: microbial cell manufacturing for therapeutic proteins/enzymes, food biotechnology for Omega-3 fatty acids , Nanotechnology to enhance enzyme thermostability, and Health Substantiation through bioactive validation. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals for sustainable technology development. Recent publications focus on biofuel production , Omega-3 recovery , and neurological disorder treatments using microbial lipids. He has supervised 21 Ph.D. students in biotechnology and serves on editorial boards for journals like Marine Drugs and Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology . Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC, 2015) Scroll of Honor from IFBiop (2012) Victorian Premier Award (2009) As Program Coordinator for Flinders' Master of Biotechnology , he integrated industry placements and dynamic curriculum updates. His 157+ research outputs have achieved 6606 citations and an h-index of 44.
