Michael Bartlett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Tech , leading the Soft Materials and Structures Lab within the College of Engineering. His research focuses on bio-inspired materials , soft robotics , and multifunctional composites with applications in adaptive adhesives , stretchable electronics , and self-healing systems .
