Kwabena Boahen is a Professor of Bioengineering and Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, with a courtesy appointment in Computer Science. He is affiliated with the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute, the Bio-X Institute, and the System X Alliance. His research bridges neurobiology, computer science, and electronics, focusing on neuromorphic engineering to model brain functions. He founded the Brains in Silicon Lab, developing silicon chips that emulate neural behavior efficiently. Notable contributions include the Neurogrid platform and the Braindrop architecture.
